H2S Gas Monitors

Are you going to be working in the vicinity of of H2S or "sour gas" wells?  Have you done a proper hazard assessment - please check out the H2S hazard assessment tips.  If you have taken an H2S Alive or Awareness course and you have done your hazard assessment, you may require a H2S monitor as a control.  EHS has ordered 10 self-calibrated H2S monitors for researchers to borrow through the Field Research Office.  In order to loan the units out, researchers must do the following:  

a)  provide a copy of your H2S Alive or Awareness up-to-date certification;

b)  provide a copy of your field activities plan which includes an Emergency Response Plan and hazard assessment for the H2S; 

c)  watch the manufacturer's video describing the use of the H2S monitor; and

d)  fill out the following form:
